Here’s our story of what goes on behind the scenes to put that package deal together for you?
Firstly we talk to you and ask you many questions so that we understand what type of holiday you are after, that way when we put a package together we are meeting your specific needs and requirements.
Then a consultant with United Travel will research all airlines for the most economical fares available on the days you wish to travel – it is important that we know your preferred dates of travel and whether you are flexible with departure or return dates as ticket prices can vary considerably between one day and the next. We also have to consider the departure times as we do our best to match this to your requirements, how many connections are needed and whether you want a stopover or to fly direct. We are not affiliated to just one airline so we are pleased to offer you an unbiased proposal.
Next we contact our wholesaler to obtain accommodation availability and price multiple-options at several hotels or a particular hotel that is your preference and narrow these down to a couple of choices that will meet your requirements. We look at and price transfers to and from the airport to your suggested accommodation.
We make sure your passport is valid and where necessary we can arrange visas to countries that require them. We will advise you of the cost of insurance for the time you are away, additional tours you can take, a rental car if appropriate, as well as offering optional extras to you which we can also package up so that you can pay prior to leaving NZ thereby assisting your travel budget.
We can also offer cash passports to facilitate the carrying of foreign currency while you are away.
Finally we package all your documents, vouchers, tickets, insurance and a detailed itinerary (with an extra copy for your family or friends) into a United Travel branded wallet to present to you along with baggage labels and airline security information. A detailed pre-departure briefing will answer any questions you may have.
